Best part about my job: Watching others pay dearly to do what I do as a part of daily life.
Biggest challenges I face: Finding the extra 4 hours in my 28 hour days, balancing multiple projects and commitments and delivering on my promises, and keeping a happy and healthy family.
The most unusual or exciting thing that's happened to me while working in the field: Near plane crash followed by near head-on collision while traveling to nesting beaches in Yemen, and playing the second rear flipper to turtle KSA 4811 in Saudi Arabia as she attempted for the eleventh time to nest.
Why I like being a member
of the MTSG: Because the MTSG can make a difference, and will, provided we all work as a team. It is an honour to be part of such a movement conserving marine turtles.
Turtle researcher / conservationist I most admire: Jeff Miller: An exemplary scientist, a gifted educator, and one of the most noble people on this planet.
When I'm not working on turtles I like to: Work on other projects, take photographs, drink beer.
Ten years from now, I hope I will be doing: More diving, more research, less paperwork.
